My friend Megan calls this her "Write Bitch Write" song.  I agree 100%!  I'll need this song to get through this weekend to get ALL of my work done, which includes:

Grading 49 papers
Revising a story for Fiction Workshop
Writing a five page review of a writing book
Complete a 25-30 page comic for ENG 603

and starting next week
Grade 12 projects

then after that
Grade 49 finals.

YESH!

While not officially open, Kristin and I have been working on Fantastibad: I Kinda Like It for about six weeks.  The site itself is still under construction and we're playing around with comic formatting, but we would appreciate any and all feedback so we can get ready for the official opening.  

We figure we'll officially open when we have around 10 comics and (hopefully) a few in stock.

Makeup?!?  omfaga!

Sorry, people, but this isn't as exciting as this sounds.  I was coloring a picture I drew a while ago, and I decided to try and color makeup on one of the characters.  I'm just trying to get an opinion on whether I'm on the right track or not.  And if so, what can I do to make it look better.

In an effort to be a better writer, I've been subjecting my characters to this test I found where you can test to see whether your character is a "Mary Sue" or not.  For those who don't know what I'm talking about, you can read up on it in this Wikipedia article.  I want to have characters that people will like because they are interesting, not because they are practically prefect in every way.  

So, from time to time this summer, I will take this quiz to find out whether some of the characters I've created are Mary Sues.  I strongly encourage other writers to try this test as well!

Comments - These results COMPLETELY surprised me.  I would've thought for sure that Leena was going to be a Mary-Sue and Xavier was going to be borderline.  Woo!
